Philadelphia Sign Company employs 350, in-house trained, sign manufacturing professionals who turn vision into reality on a daily basis.

Operating from three plants that comprise over 325,000 square feet of manufacturing and storage space, we have assembled a “State of the Art” facility that produces the highest quality signage, meeting difficult timelines, and at extremely competitive costs.

Five computerized Machining Centers, operating 20 hours per day, 6 days per week, afford a level of flexibility unmatched in our Industry. These centers, communicating with our Cad/Cam department, are capable of running jobs in tandem, independently, or ‘flip-flopping’ in process work, in real time, with no downtime in the processes.

Twin computerized 4 Meter Folding Brakes operating as extensions of our machining centers transform the routed sheets into complex forms that are impossible for conventional metal brakes. Having 4 meter capability gives us over 13 feet of forming length, which allows for fewer seams, greater structural integrity, and a cleaner finished piece. Having two of the same machines gives an even greater advantage in that the brakes, like the machining centers, can be programmed to ensure the fastest and most economical product thru-put.

A Computerized AccuBend Letter Fabricating Machine automatically downloads the letter return configuration files from our Cad/Cam Servers and produces a continuous flow of fabricated letter returns that minimizes a process that formerly took hours of hand labor into minutes.

Our Vinyl Department is completely outfitted with laminating capabilities of 7’ wide by unlimited length substrates, and vinyl cutting on flatbed and roll plotters to within .004 repeatability. Thanks to our networking capabilities and the flexibility afforded by our Cad/Cam programmers and servers, we are able to accommodate jobs from the smallest ‘one off’s’ to production runs.

Vacuum Forming and Plastic Fabricating is done in-house at our Main Facility. With vacuum forming and press capacities up to 12’ x 24’, there is no job too large. Our press and forming ovens were hand built, in place, to our specifications.

Painting and Finishing at Philadelphia Sign Company is accomplished in eight wet paint booths utilizing two-part catalyzed polyurethane coatings that are specifically engineered for the sign industry to give years of reliability and steadfast color retention. Coupled with our paint booths is a 3,360 cubic foot batch-drying oven that ensures all coatings are properly cured and ready for installation.

“They are an outstanding company—I would use them anywhere in a second.”
