Cleveland Huntington Bank

As the city of Cleveland readied itself to host the Republican Party’s Convention 2016, Philadelphia Sign was asked to play a part by aiding long-time client, Huntington Bank. Huntington acquired the naming rights to the Cleveland Convention Center in April 2016 after the acquisition of First Merit Bank and was anxious to re-brand in time for July 2016 Convention.

As quoted in a 2016 online article from Cleveland.com, “The timely completion of long-term branding was important to the convention center and its partners,” Huntington spokesman Bill Eiler said. “Moving forward with the naming rights shift now enables the completion of external and internal branding for the facility in time for the convention.”

Huntington Chairman and CEO, Steve Steinour was quoted in the same article: “As the eyes of the country and the world focus on this important center in the Midwest, we want to step up and ensure top-quality signage design is in place and ready to share.”

Bank officials acknowledged the tight time constraint, but knew Philadelphia Sign was up to the challenge. Philadelphia Sign fabricated and installed the new signage in a few weeks, with time to spare. Philadelphia Sign’s work was front and center at this US historical event.
