Custom LED Marquee Signage by PSCO in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, NY

Before the building was converted to a Target, it was a movie theater. The Walker Theater was opened on January 5, 1926 with Wallace Beery in “Fireman, Save My Child”. Interior decorations were carried out by Vincent Margliotti. The Walker Theater was converted into a quad by United Artist’s Theatres in 1986. It closed in March 1988 with “Three Men and a Baby”, Satisfaction”, “Shoot to Kill” and “Scavengers”. It was recently home to a retail store called Mandee. The design of the new signage at this Target location is meant to pay homage to the buildings past as a destination theater for this community. The bulbs around the perimeter of the Marquee and the underside are state of the art LED illuminated units that correspond with a hard wired chasing unit to create a multi-channel flashing sequence. The Target logos and accent lighting on the face(s) of the sign are illuminated with Sloan Prism 6500k modules. Learn more on how Philadelphia Sign succeeds in getting their clients’ results. In addition to the marquee sign, a 2 sided flag sign was installed on the front elevation. This sign also incorporated the LED bulbs and chasing unit to coincide with the flashing sequence of the marquee sign below it. Special attention to detail was used in designed the mounting plates and installation protocol so as to protect the ornate masonry wall that covers this beautiful building.
